Mr Perry Ong
Mr Perry Ong has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of City Energy Pte. Ltd. (as Trustee of City Energy Trust), with effect from 1 October 2020.
Mr Ong brings with him more than 29 years of experience in entrepreneurship, marketing and general management to City Energy. Before joining City Energy, he has been CEO at NTUC Foodfare Co-operative Ltd since 2008, where he grew NTUC Foodfare to be one of the largest F&B operators in Singapore today. During his tenure at NTUC Foodfare, he led several key growth initiatives, including the acquisition of the Kopitiam Group of companies and Wang Café.
Before that, Mr Ong held various leadership positions in other leading food services companies in Singapore. Mr Ong has served on the Singapore National Co-operative Federation as its Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the Audit Committee. He was also Chairman of the Self Reliance Committee of the Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC) which oversaw the disbursement of financial aid to the poor and needy.
Mr Ong holds an MBA (Distinction) from the University of Birmingham in the UK and has completed the Advanced Management Programme from INSEAD.
Mr Tsujimura Hideomi
Mr Tsujimura Hideomi is currently the Director of City-OG Gas Energy Services. He is also the President & CEO of Osaka Gas Singapore.
Mr Tsujimura joined Osaka Gas in 1996. Since then, he has amassed a wealth of experience across different departments and roles. In his earlier roles within Osaka Gas, he made significant contributions to the Human Resources Department, highlighting his broad professional experience and familiarity with various aspects of the company’s operations. Later, in the Planning Department, he was instrumental in planning and implementing strategies to expand the business portfolio, aligning these efforts with the company’s management philosophy.
Mr Tsujimura then joined the Secretariat Department, where he adeptly supported the executive team as secretary to the president. His role involved facilitating strategic communications and ensuring the smooth operation of executive functions. Prior to his current appointment, he held the position of General Manager of the Energy Resources and International Business Unit. In this capacity, he contributed significantly to the development and execution of strategic plans and resources.
Mr Tsujimura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economy from Osaka Prefecture University, providing him with a robust academic foundation that supports his professional endeavors in the energy industry.
Mr Tan Jun Jie
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mr Tan Jun Jie was appointed Chief Executive Officer of City-OG Gas Energy Services in March 2022.
Mr Tan brings with him more than 12 years of experience across the gas and electricity supply chain, from importation, generation, transmission and distribution, to retailing. Before joining City OG, he held various leadership positions in SP Group and Senoko Energy, covering energy trading and portfolio optimisation, regulatory affairs and sustainable energy solutions.
Mr Tan was a member of the Rule Change Panel and Technical Working Group that reviews the market rules of the Singapore Wholesale Electricity Market. He was the Singapore representative in the ASEAN Power Grid Consultative Committee and Heads of ASEAN Power Utilities/Authorities (HAPUA) Policy Studies and Commercial Development working groups, looking at trading energy via regional grids.
A Nanyang Technological University graduate with 2nd Upper Class Honors in Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and double Minors in Business and Entrepreneurship. Mr Tan was awarded Dean’s Honors List for his Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Nanyang Business School with a Certificate in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University. He obtained the Energy Risk Professional (ERP), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designations from Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in 2014, and the Professional Risk Manager (PRM) designation from Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA) in 2011.
Mr Tanimura Atsushi (Eddie)
DIRECTOR AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Mr Tanimura Atsushi (Eddie) is currently the Director and Chief Operating Officer of City-OG Gas Energy Services. He is also the Vice President of Osaka Gas Singapore.
Mr Tanimura joined Osaka Gas in 1994 and he has wide range of experience in energy industry from local to international. Prior to his appointment, he was General Manager of Corporate Research Office in Secretariat Department to support executives. Between 2011 and 2016, he was based in New York and Houston, USA, as Vice President of OGUSA. He led business development activity to find investment opportunity in generation sector as well as local gas distribution.
Mr Tanimura has successfully led Osaka Gas to participate in the UAE IWPP (Independent Water and Power Producer) project (Shuweihat 2) and South Australian wind firm (Hallet 4) by undertaking a capital respectively, while he was Manager in International Energy & Resources Business Unit between 2008 and 2011.
Mr Tanimura holds a Master of Business Administration from International University of Japan (including exchange program in London Business School) and Bachelor degree of Law at Kobe University.
Mr Christopher Tan
DIRECTOR AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Mr Christopher Tan is currently the Vice President, Finance & IT, and Head of Operational Group at City Energy. He joined the company in April 2010 as Vice President, Finance & IT.
Prior to his appointment, Mr Tan served as the Director, Group Reporting and Corporate Finance at Neptune Orient Lines Limited (NOL). He has more than 15 years of experience in the finance industry since starting his career in audit with Ernst & Young. Since then, he has held senior appointments at several companies including Mapletree Investments Group.
An Oxford Brookes University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts with Second Upper Class Honours in Accounting and Finance, Mr Tan was also awarded second placing in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Examination.
Mr Tan is currently the fellow members of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
